The ICT’s 19th annual World Summit on Counter-Terrorism took place between September 9-12 where the RED-Alert project was represented by multiple partners during different workshops and sessions. Lt. Col. (Res.) Uri Ben Yaakov, Director of Development & Senior Researcher, ICT, presented a simulation in which a terror attacks take place in Washington D.C. and Richmond Virginia, by White supremacists who were radicalized over social media networks and platforms, presenting the need for an open-source tool, such as Red-Alert for early detection of terror content.
During the conference, a session was held named: “Countering Radicalization – Technology & Policy in cooperation with RED Alert | a Horizon2020 Project”
Lt. Col. (Res.) Uri Ben Yaakov, Senior Researcher & Director of Development, ICT, Mr. Yaniv Azani, Chief Technology Officer (CTO), National Cyber Unit, Israeli National Police (INP), and Dr. Monica Florea, Coordinator RED-Alert Project, Horizon2020 & Head of European Projects Department, SIVECO, all took part in this panel where the Red-Alert project was presented.
